WHO YOU ARE:

As an experienced Graphic Designer, you should be highly skilled, collaborative, and passionate about your work. You should have a keen eye for aesthetics, strategy, and functionality to create impactful designs that drive revenue and support marketing initiatives. You will play a crucial role in supporting barre3's marketing and creative efforts. You will collaborate closely with the Creative Lead, Copywriter, and cross-functional teams to create design assets that align with the brand's vision, mission, and values.

Primary residence must be in one of the following states:CA, DC, FL, KY, NC, NY, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, WA

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Concepting and Ideation:Understand the marketing and product goals and develop creative strategies that elevate the brand's visual identity. Generate innovative ideas and translate them into compelling visual designs across different channels.
  • Hands-on Approach:Take a hands-on approach in developing assets for various purposes, including promotional materials, video assets, photography, advertising assets, social materials, and other brand-related materials.
  • Brand Development and Consistency:Maintain and evolve the brand's visual language and guidelines. Ensure consistency and alignment across all design assets to create a cohesive brand experience.
  • Lead Creative Development:Take the lead in creative development for multiple channels and projects, including photography, motion, lifestyle, social content, digital product innovation, and retail applications.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:Collaborate with marketing, product development, and other teams to understand project goals and effectively translate them into elevated designs.
  • Present and Communicate:Articulate design rationale and concepts clearly and persuasively to different stakeholders.
  • Feedback and Solutions:Take feedback well and proactively identify constructive solutions to improve designs.

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Alignment with barre3 Core Values: Practice Authenticity, Stronger Together, Love of Learning, Give Generously, Make It Happen
  • 5+ years of progressive creative experience, relevant design and/or copywriting experience, and strategic creative direction at a brand or agency 
  • Proficiency in a variety of design tools such as the Adobe Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat
  • Experience in Canva is a plus
  • Strong creative portfolio demonstrating creative thinking across multiple outputs (social, retail, digital, etc).
  • An exceptional design sensibility (typography, layout, and prototyping) and strong understanding of creating beautiful visuals with an understanding of business objectives
  • Expertise in design for brand, advertising, retail marketing, and a knowledge of best practices with a willingness to stay up-to-date on trends and tools
  • Self-motivated, able to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project deadlines
  • Demonstrate a command of creative methods, tools, communication, and presentation skills
  • Has meticulous organizational skills and attention to detail (self-proofing/editing)
  • Understanding of the fitness + lifestyle brand landscape married with a strong curiosity to continue to learn
  • Able to effectively collaborate with other team members, and is receptive to feedback
