Job Role:
- Loading goods onto delivery vehicles, planning delivery routes, and safely transporting items to their destinations.
- Ensuring deliveries are made on time as per the schedule provided by the dispatcher or supervisor.
- Providing excellent customer service during deliveries, including greeting customers, addressing inquiries or concerns, and maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Properly documenting deliveries by obtaining signatures, confirming delivery addresses, and completing delivery paperwork accurately.
- Performing routine checks on delivery vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition, and reporting any issues or maintenance needs.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws while operating delivery vehicles, including using seat belts and obeying speed limits.
- Assisting with inventory tasks such as stock counting, organizing goods for delivery, and reporting discrepancies to management.
- Addressing any delivery challenges like traffic delays or difficult-to-find addresses with efficiency and professionalism.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous delivery or logistics experience preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical fitness to lift and move heavy objects.
- Familiarity with local roads and areas is advantageous.
- Delivery Boys may work in various weather conditions.
- The role involves frequent lifting, bending, and driving.
- Flexible work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, may be required.
- Delivery Boys spend significant time on the road.
