Chicago, IL needs you! As an Urban Lead Pastor, you will have the opportunity to lead and shepherd a dynamic and diverse faith community in the heart of the city.
In this role, you will play a crucial role in providing spiritual guidance, teaching, and pastoral care to the congregation. You will lead and oversee the development of worship services, discipleship programs, and ministries that cater to the unique needs of the urban community.

Responsibilities:- Lead and guide the congregation in their spiritual growth journey
- Preach and teach the Word of God with relevance and application to urban challenges
- Oversee and lead worship services that engage the urban community
- Provide pastoral care and counseling to church members
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the overall growth and impact of the church
- Equip and empower church leaders and volunteers in their ministry roles
- Collaborate with community leaders and organizations to create meaningful partnerships and outreach opportunities
Requirements
- Theological degree or equivalent experience and/or training with the teaching of God's word
- Ordained or willing to pursue ordination within a specific timeframe
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pastoral leadership, preferably in an urban setting
- Strong biblical knowledge and ability to effectively communicate and apply it to urban challenges
- Proven ability to lead and inspire others towards a shared vision and mission
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relational skills
- A heart for urban ministry and a deep understanding of urban culture
- Ability to navigate and adapt to the unique challenges and complexity of urban communities
