Summary 

Allucent is a full-service contract research and development organization with international resources dedicated to helping pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies efficiently and expeditiously navigate the regulatory approval process in order to bring new drugs, biologics, and medical devices to the people who need them. We are seeking a strategic and experienced professional to fill the role of Senior Director, Information Technology, responsible for leading Infrastructure and Support functions. Based in India, this leadership position involves growing and building the overall capabilities in the IT team while ensuring the seamless operation of our technology operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure management, support services, and a track record in the life sciences industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Building:

  • Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing IT team in India, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Assess and enhance the skills and capabilities of the IT team through training and development initiatives.
  • Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract, retain, and develop top IT talent.
  • Partner with IT Leadership to build and lead capabilities across Information Technology including data, security, validation, business applications, and project management.

Infrastructure Management:

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of a scalable and secure IT infrastructure.
  • Drive initiatives to optimize and modernize technology infrastructure to support business objectives.

Support Services:

  • Direct the delivery of efficient and effective IT support services to end-users, ensuring timely issue resolution and high levels of user satisfaction.
  • Implement best practices for incident, problem, and change management.
  • Identify and implement automation to reduce manual activity and improve the end user experience.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators.

Strategic Planning:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of the overall IT strategy, aligning with business goals and objectives.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for technological innovation and improvement.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships across the company including business unit and executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand business needs and align IT services accordingly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in IT leadership roles, with a focus on infrastructure and support but must also have experience leading other IT functions (e.g., Data, Applications, Validation, Security, Project Management)
  • Previous experience in the life sciences industry is a must.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance standards.
